Professional snow / avalanche shovels

Made by Ortovox, these are designed to be both compact, adaptable and durable.

We offer 2 models, one with a stadard T handle, one with the offset handle ( can be configured for left or right handed operation)

The shovel can be broken down into 3 parts

Assembled, the shovel can be used with a LONG handle or kept compact with a SHORT handle.

The toughened plastioc head keeps the weight low but offers great durability

    Excellent item.
    I ordered it a few days ago.
    Very light but very sturdy piece of equipment.
    Conveniently in 3 parts which clip together very easily.
    The shovel part is very hard plastic and the other two parts are metal.
    Very pleased with it.
    Because its in 3 parts it is easy to put into a part of a rucksack or alternative side pack.
    Imagine a shovel a third of the size that when assenbled becomes an almost full size shovel.
    And it’s about 6 times lighter than a normal garden shovel.
    A perfect snow shovel for digging out an ice cave…. And possibly saving your own life.
